This is a special time for some of our dancers
as some of them will be going en pointe after the winter break! I hope you are
all as excited as I am :) I evaluated the girls that were old enough and
strong enough to possibly start pointe work. After carefully evaluating them I
have told the girls individually if they are ready or not, so if you daughter
is included in the bunch then this post is very important!
As there are so many students going en pointe, I
will not be able to go to the store with each class and assist them in getting
their first pair of pointe shoes. So, I wrote this very long, detailed, pointe
shoe guide that I hope will all make you feel comfortable and educate those who
are unfamiliar with pointe shoes. Don't let the length discourage you from
reading through it all! I didn't have anything like this when I started, but it
would have been much easier if I had this knowledge back then!
Anyways hope it helps! Let me know if you have
any questions via email: nenasmith@yahoo.com
Happy Holidays!! xxxxxxxxxx

*It seems the google doc is only able to open when you sign in with your gmail account. I will try to fix this problem as soon as I figure out how to do that!
