ELITE COMPANY PERFORMANCE

The Elite Company will be performing on Saturday Novemember 20th @ the christmas expo over at UVU Mckay Events Center. The girls will need to be there by 1:15 and will be dancing at 2:00 they will be free to enter and all parents must bring some canned food for your admission. Any questions please call me!

NEW DISNEYLAND PRICE

We have made some adjustments to our performance tour to lower the price and hope that more of you will be able to join us. We will now just spend more time at Disneyland instead of Universal studios, we took out the dinner at Rubys Diner, and we are now staying directly across the street from the theme park so we don't have to buy a pass to transport us to Disneyland. Then new cost will be $679.00 per person please look for the new brochures that will be handed out this week. Please keep in mind that this price includes all your transportation amd tips to and from the airport and to the beach. That is why it might seem a little more expensive to you. Also please remember that you do NOT pay the studio you need to send your payments to Educational Tours. We hope to have you all there!

Disneyland Performance Trip!

Please leave a comment if you are planning on joining us for the Disneyland Trip. We need to get an exact count before people start sending off the 100.00 deposit. WHAT TO EXPECT

Here are some of the things you should be expecting while being on a Competition team at EDC:



*Always be to class on time in the appropriate clothing. ( please do not miss class for birthday parties, shopping, tummy aches, head aches, etc) if you do need to miss please notify your teacher ahead of time.



*Tuition should be paid for by the first of each month. There will be a $20.00 fee on any returned checks. Feel free to pay extra each month to go towards costumes and entry fees. If for some reason you do fall behind on your tuition it must be paid before your costumes can be paid for and received and your daughter will not perform with unpaid balances.

*Please pick your kids up on time from dance class especially if your daughter is in the last class of the day. If we continue to have this problem we will need to start charging for our teachers time waiting for you.

*Please be watching for order forms this upcoming week for warm ups, practice outfits, shoes, etc. this will be the only order we place so you much order them now.



*There will be a $50.00 deposit on costumes due at the first of October and a $50.00 deposit for entry fees due at the first of November.



*New this year. Some of the competitions have raised there prices much higher but due to those raised prices you will NOT be charged at the door to watch competition. I will have prices to you asap.

NEW DRESS REHEARSAL TIMES AND DAYS

Please make sure to notice that the days have been switched for rehearsal. We have a bunch of students involved in the Hope of America so this change was needed. Rehearsal will be held at the Spanish Fork High School Auditorium!

Monday May 3rd 7:00-9:00 will be the Diva Elites, Divas, Premiers, Petites, and Minis. We will start with the minis first so they can leave the earliest!

DANCE RECITAL!

Our dance recital will be held on May 8th at the Spanish Fork High Auditorium beginning at 7:30p.m. some teams will be in the Junior show at 6:00 that will be announced at a later time. the show is free to the public. In order for us to make this possible we have to charge each student a $25.00 recital fee per dancer and if you have more than one girl it will be $35.00. There is no tuition for the month of may so please have the recital fee paid for before the end of April! The dress rehearsal for all the competition teams will be held on Monday May 3rd from 7:00-9:00 p.m. for the Elites, Teens, Juniors, Supremes, and Divines and Tuesday May 4th from 7:00-9:00p.m. for the Petites, Premiers, Diva Elites, Divas, and Minis! There is a possibility that we will be able to start at 6:00 so please keep checking! Make sure to please bring costumes so we can light the stage according to the color of the costume!

UTAH DANCE FEST IN LOGAN!

Following is the time that you need to be ready for each performance. They run it differently than we are use to and just give us a time frame of each dance. Please be on time and know what time each of your routines performs! Hair and makeup is the same as last competition and can be found down below! Makeup could be darker from a lot of you!

Directions to Logan High School: 150 west 100 south is one block west of the highway which is also main street as you come into Logan! it should be extremely easy to find. The auditorium is located just inside the main entrance!

If your routines are on stage A your awards will be at 8:30 on stage A! If you dance on stage B they will be at 6:15 on stage B! Please please wear either your practice outfit and or warm ups to awards!

PICTURE TIME!

Pictures will be held next week at the studio. Your teams picture time is listed below. Please bring all your costumes, tights and shoes. We will be taking a team picture in all of your costumes and you can choose one to have your individual taken in. If you order at least $15.00 worth of pictures you will receive a free 8x10! You will get to view and order your pictures the following week at the studio. Times will be available the day of pictures!

PLEASE be on time to your pictures. We will be doing the group pictures first so if you are late you will not be in the picture!

MAKEUP AND HAIR

Following are the directions for the application of the makeup. I have put it on a few times and if you have a set of bigger nice makeup brushes it goes on much quicker and nicer! I was going to put pictures up with my instructions but my camera is no where to be found! So Sorry! Please remember that this makeup is to be showy not for everyday use so they should look like they have performance makeup on!

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO MAKE SURE YOUR MAKEUP AND HAIR ARE DONE NICELY AND IT LOOKS PROFESSIONAL! THIS ALL SHOULD BE DONE BEFORE YOU GET TO THE COMPETITION!

Step #1 apply a thin layer of foundation to the face and the eyelid this will help the eyeshadow to stay on longer.

Step #2 apply the lightest color all over the eyelid!

Step #3 apply a light amount of the brown color to the bottom of lid ( this should not be too dark)

Step #4 apply the purple to the crease of the eyelid as well as the outside corner of the eye! This will look really dark and blotchy at this point!

Step #5 take the blending brush or a large blush brush and blend the three colors together! If the purple still looks blotchy continue to blend!

Step #6 take the lightest color and apply extra directly below the eyebrow and in the inside corner

Step #7 apply black eyeliner to the top lid and from the bottom outside corner out! Black mascara and fake eyelashes!

Step #8 apply a good amount of blush and lip gloss! I would do this right before they are going on to perform!

HAIR!!!!!

Minis: We will be keeping the hair down in big curls with their headband in and to the right!

Petites, Divas, Premiers, and Diva Elites: Hair will be parted on the right side and slicked into a pony tail in the middle back of the head then the pony tail should be curled tightly and hair spray the heck out of it!

Divines: Hair is parted on the left with bump over to the right side along with a curly pony tail on the right side of the head!

Supremes: Hair is pulled into a curly ponytail on the right with a bump in the center of the hair at the top!

Teens, Juniors and Elites: Hair is pulled into a tight pony tail on the middle back side of your head with a large bump on the front top of your hair!

ST. GEORGE LINE UP!

The competition is being held at Dixie High School located at 350 east 700 south. Please make sure you are there one hour prior to your scheduled time completely ready. These times can change so please check the program when you get there and please please be on time and meet in our dressing room. You can ask one of the champion production workers in a purple shirt where our dressing room is located! Also your daughters will need to receive a wrist band to claim their trophies at the competition on Saturday. I will give those out that day to ensure nobody looses or forgets them! Please have your warm ups or costumes on to get into the competition.

Step by step instructions for the makeup will be on the blog by Wednesday along with hair and costume check lists! Please make sure all tuition, costumes, entry fees and makeup are paid for before Thursday. I am not hauling down every ones makeup and costumes to St. George. If you are not paid up by then you will not receive costumes!

We will be having our mandatory practices next week at the Spanish Fork High School please do not go to the Elementary school! Please be on time in practice outfits with shoes! These times will take the place of dance on the day all other class times will be held at the studio at your regular time!

The practice for the MM dance company showcase will be on Monday March 15th at 3:30-4:00 for the Diva Elites, Teen Company, and Elite Company!

NEW MAKEUP KITS

It is time to get new makeup kits this year. We will be going with an awesome compact from Mary Kay! The kit will include 3 eye shadows, blush, and a lip gloss for $41.75 which is half the price of what it would normally cost yeah! Thanks Sarah! The compact is magnetic so if you run out of one eyeshadow or need a new blush you can just replace that one color! This will need to be paid for before March 25th so your daughter can have it for the first competition!

JANUARY PERFORMANCES

We have two performances this month on January 13th @ Mapel Moutain High School and January 14th @ Spanish Fork High School! On the 13th the Elite, Junior and Teen Companies will be performing and need to be there at 6:30 sharp on the 14th the Elite Co, Teen Co, and the Divines will be performing and need to be there at 6:30 sharp! All teams will be rehearsing on Tuesday January 12th at the Spanish Fork High School from 5:00-7:00. This is a mandatory practice and everyone has to be there in your practice outfits. Parents please remember that these are fundraisers for the local Drill Teams and it does cost to get in! On Tuesday the 12th if you have a class scheduled at the studio it will not be held just the practice at the High School! Class on Wed and Thursday will be determined at a later date depending on how our routines are looking!
